At Happy Thoughts Drama Company we first and foremost aim to provide a safe and welcoming environment for young actors aged 8 to 18 to be themselves and explore what it means to be them. We achieve this through carefully tailored and guided rehearsals that ultimately build up to a professional standard production on a real stage. In doing this, we aim to provide young actors with the opportunity to realise their potential and work together for a shared goal, ultimately teaching them valuable life skills that they can take into their everyday lives and their futures, whether they choose a career in the arts or not. We encourage and inspire our young actors to take control of their own dreams and their own destiny, shaping their wants and needs into a physical product with which they can achieve anything. We promote confidence, memory, teamwork, social skills and much more on a weekly basis. We nurture all types of interests and encourage our young members to either take to the stage or find their own flow behind it whilst working as a member of our volunteer crew. Every voice is heard at Happy Thoughts and we take our responsibilities to our young people very seriously. All shapes, sizes, colours, religions, mentalities, abilities and superpowers are welcome at Happy Thoughts Drama Company, which after all… is where dreams are born.
